Retired Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce is working on plans to keep his family settled in Delaware County, but his new proposed home is stirring up concerns among his neighbors.

At a recent Haverford Township Zoning Board hearing, Kelce outlined his proposal to build a new house on his property, add a fence and flatten land slopes.

He requested variances to make these changes to his Coopertown Road property.

However, neighbors had raised alarms about potential flooding and runoff due to the removal of the land’s slopes.

Kelce addressed these concerns, explaining the need for the changes due to unique security needs.

‘Obviously, things for my family are quite unique with security purposes. We’d like to deter foot traffic around the home, so we’re trying to put in a fence that meets that need while blending into the neighborhood,’ he said.

The zoning board approved the variances, as long as a storm-water runoff management was implemented to safeguard the surrounding area.

‘We wanted to be in this area, we like this area a lot,’ Kelce said, reflecting on his decision to buy the original house in Haverford Township in 2018.

Kelce, his wife Kylie and their three daughters (with a fourth on the way) have made this area their home.

Jason Kelce, a key figure in the Eagles’ historic Super Bowl win in 2018, has remained active in the region, even bartending at the Jersey Shore, supporting the Eagles Autism Foundation, and giving holiday gifts to Philadelphia’s public school kids last year.

Following his NFL retirement, Jason joined ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown and also hosts a podcast with his brother Travis Kelce, a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Kylie, a Cabrini College graduate, launched her own podcast, Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce, in December.

Since 2018, he’s acquired several adjacent properties in Haverford, with plans to consolidate them into one grand estate.

He initially bought a four-bedroom home for $680,000, securing it for $120,000 below the asking price.

In 2020, he added a neighboring property for $3.96 million, featuring eight acres of land. Most recently, in September 2023, Kelce purchased a third mansion for $1.35 million.

Sources have confirmed that Kelce plans to demolish the three existing homes to build a single mansion for his family.

The Kelce family is no stranger to high-profile visitors.

In 2023, pop star Taylor Swift, who is dating Jason’s brother Travis, visited their Pennsylvania home for Easter, joining the Kelces for their annual egg hunt.

Swift even met Jason and Kylie’s nieces, further cementing her place within the family.
