ESPN’s Jason Kelce could not hold back the tears while discussing Tiger Bech and Ryan Quigley during ‘NFL Countdown’ ahead of the Super Bowl in New Orleans on Sunday.
Bech, a former Princeton punt returner, was one of 14 killed in the city’s terror attack on New Year’s Day when a man drove a van through a crowd on Bourbon Street.
It’s said that he heroically pushed a woman out of the way.
The former player had gone to dinner with his best friend, Ryan, before heading to the location where he got hit.
Jason Kelce Got Emotional On TV
With the Bech family set to be honored at Caesar’s Superdome this Sunday, Jason Kelce got emotional while speaking about the incident.
“There are some awful people in this world,” he said after composing himself.
Check him out in the clip below:
Tiger, whose real name was Martin Bech, was an All-Ivy honor athlete at Princeton, where he played as a punt returner and saw some snaps as a wide receiver.
The Lafayette, Louisiana native is fondly remembered by those who knew him.
