Lil Nas X has been hospitalized following a frightening early-morning incident in Los Angeles. The “Old Town Road” star was reportedly seen wandering the streets, causing concern among passersby. Authorities acted quickly, and the 26-year-old was rushed to the hospital for immediate medical attention, reported TMZ.
What happened to Lil Nas X in Los Angeles?
According to TMZ, the celebrity was spotted early on Thursday morning straying in the dark along Ventura Blvd, a major thoroughfare in Los Angeles. At one point, Nas seemed perplexed and held a traffic cone above his head, as per a report by Entertainment Now.
According to the TMZ report, sources in the Studio City area informed them that the 26-year-old was reported to the LAPD by onlookers for a “possible overdose.” Nas was still in the middle of the road when the police arrived. According to the outlet, officers summoned paramedics to take him to the hospital.
After officers allegedly informed paramedics that Nas might have overdosed, he was brought to the hospital, where he is reportedly still receiving treatment.
Has Lil Nas X faced health scares before?
Prior to this, Lil Nas X was admitted to the hospital in April 2025.
The incident on August 21 is the artist’s second hospital visit of the year. On April 14, the Lithia Springs, Georgia native told fans that the right side of his face was paralyzed in a selfie he posted from his hospital bed. “Sooooo, lost control of the right side of my face,” he said in an Instagram Reel, according to the outlet.
Recently, Lil Nas X hinted at a new era on Instagram. The “Montero” singer cleaned his Instagram shortly before the incident that resulted in his hospitalization, which is a custom among musicians to usher in a new creative era.
Nas started posting new images of visually striking artwork to his feed on August 20. He also included a selfie with the caption, “Oh no, she’s gone mad! Crazy I tell you!
The celebrity hinted at new music as well. According to the Source, Young Kio is the producer of the song “Black Horse,” of which he provided a sample. The publication noted that the song has a Western feel to it, similar to “Old Town Road.”
