After a tough Super Bowl defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles, Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany are back in the spotlight, and this time, they’re making waves at a college basketball game. Despite a challenging 2024 NFL season, the Mahomes family continues to thrive.
On Monday, the couple took a break from their busy family life, which recently grew with the addition of their third child, daughter Golden Raye Mahomes. They made their way to Lubbock, Texas, to catch the No. 10 Texas Tech Red Raiders take on the No. 4 Houston Cougars. The game, dubbed “Big Monday,” proved to be a memorable event for fans and attendees alike, as the couple took their seats courtside.
Patrick, who played quarterback for Texas Tech from 2014 to 2016, has maintained a strong connection to his alma mater. Texas Tech Athletics welcomed their former star with a heartfelt Instagram post, “Big Monday brings out the biggest star in sports. Welcome home, @PatrickMahomes!” Fans on social media couldn’t get enough of the sight of Mahomes sitting courtside, with many expressing their excitement at seeing the star in such a relaxed setting.

Despite a 13-16 overall record, Mahomes stood out, earning the prestigious Sammy Baugh Trophy in 2016 and setting the record for most offensive yards in a game with 819. He ended his college career as an Academic All-American, leaving a legacy both on and off the field.
