Just one day before Bruce Willis turns 70 on Wednesday, March 19, his daughter Rumer Willis provided an update on his health.
The House Bunny actress, 36, took to Instagram Stories on Tuesday for a Q&A session, where she addressed a fan’s question about how her father is doing.
Rumer responded, “He’s doing great, thank you for asking,” before adding, “It is actually his 70th birthday tomorrow, so please wish my papa a big happy birthday.”

Bruce Willis’ Health Journey
In February 2023, the Willis family revealed that the Die Hard star had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD), one year after stepping away from acting due to aphasia, a condition affecting communication.
During her video update, Rumer sat comfortably in a spacious living room, speaking warmly about her father. She is the eldest daughter of Bruce and Demi Moore, who were married from 1987 to 2000 and share three daughters: Rumer, 36, Scout, 33, and Tallulah, 31.
Following his divorce, Bruce married Emma Heming in 2009, and the couple has two daughters, Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 10.
Rumer Reflects on Family Support and Co-Parenting Example
Rumer previously shared rare insights into her father’s condition during a February interview with ITV, where she emphasized how the family has remained united.
“He’s doing great,” she said. “I think, obviously, as many people in California, the thing we’re all kind of the most scared of and dealing with is just fires and wanting to make sure everything is okay.”
She highlighted the strength of their family bond, stating, “Because my family, we’re all so close, I think what’s so beautiful is the way that we rally around each other. It’s so lovely because we really are a unit.”
Rumer also praised her parents for maintaining a positive co-parenting dynamic after their divorce, ensuring their daughters always felt supported.
“The thing I’m most grateful for is that even when they split up, they created such a beautiful foundation of prioritizing my sisters and me,” she said. “I never felt like I had to choose, or like they played against each other.”
She continued, “We were a family, and we still are very much a family no matter what. And not only did that set me up with a beautiful foundation for my own family, but now, as I’m navigating co-parenting myself, I feel deep gratitude for the example they set.”
