Andrea Bocelli and his 11-year-old daughter, Virginia, share a heartfelt new duet, “Dare To Be.”Two generations of the Bocelli family come together to perform a beautifully harmonized duet for “Cabrini,” an upcoming film that marks the acting debut of 11-year-old Virginia Bocelli.

For the past few years, renowned Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli has been offering his musically gifted children, Matteo and Virginia, the opportunity to shine in the studio and on stage. In 2022, the trio released their first family Christmas album, which included a duet of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” with his youngest child.

Now 11 years old, Virginia Bocelli once again joins her father, aged 65, for a heartfelt duet in the upcoming film Cabrini. Set to be released on February 23, the music video for “Dare To Be” shows the father-daughter duo seated together on an armchair, their arms tenderly around each other as they sing in both Italian and English.

Cabirini, which marks Virginia’s debut acting role, tells the story of Catholic missionary Francesca Cabrini and her battle for the rights, health, and happiness of marginalized immigrants in late 19th-century New York City.

Directed by Alejandro Monteverde, the film features a cast including Cristiana Dell’Anna, John Lithgow, David Morse, Virginia Bocelli, and Rolando Villazón.

“Dare to Be,” an original song composed by Andrea Bocelli, Gene Back, Giovanni Caccomo, and Courtney Rodriguez, serves as the end-credit feature for the film, produced by Angel Studios.

Ryan Svendsen, the head of music at Angel Studios, shared in a statement, “‘Dare to Be’ perfectly captures the spirit of Francesca Cabrini, a woman who dedicated her life to bringing light and hope to those living on the margins.”

“We’re truly honored to have the musical contributions of Andrea and Virginia Bocelli, whose breathtaking vocals in this beautifully crafted duet bring Cabrini’s essence to life within this incredible film.”
