Vince Gill and Amy Grant welcomed a very special guest onstage Wednesday night during their Christmas residency at Ryman Auditorium. And if their 23-year-old daughter Corinna Grant Gill—who professionally goes by Corrina—didn’t steal the entire show, she most definitely wowed their crowd for the five minutes she was on stage.
Grant introduced her youngest child, the only biological child she and Gill share, to the Ryman stage. Grant told the capacity crowd that she and her husband are always thrilled when their daughter wants to sing with them. Corinna walked out wearing a floor-length, A-line black gown embellished with crystals. But it was her voice that captivated the audience.
Grant perched on a stool out of the spotlight and dabbed her eyes as Corinna started to sing a reimagined version of the song Gill wrote for Grant, “When My Amy Prays.” Corrina changed the hook to “When My Mama Prays,” and Gill accompanied her on guitar.
Corrina’s voice soared through the lyrics: All my life I’ve known of Jesus| But that connection never came| And when my world was torn to pieces| I still couldn’t call his name| But when my Mama prays| When my Mama prays| That’s when I see his face.

Vince Gill Joined Corrina, Wowwing Audience
Corinna is inarguably a devastatingly gifted vocalist whose crystalline tone is an undeniable combination of her parents’ voices. She belted the song with passion, care, and confidence, prompting the audience to leap to its feet with applause at the end.
The young singer is a Belmont University alum and plans to release a new original song after the first of the year. “Doormat,” a vulnerable song about being treated poorly and taken for granted, will be available January 3.
Corrina shared a clip of the song on social media with a caption from a man who told her she was proof that ugly people could sing, too. She wasn’t bothered by his comment and wrote: “A cranky little comment from a cranky little man:) blah blah blah! i’m giggling and i’m beautiful aaaaaand…!.!.!!!!…!! i’m releasing this song in the new year!!!!!! eeeeekkk!!!!🤭🌈🏠🩵 “DOORMAT” will be yours january 3rd, 2025🌟”
In 2022, Corrina told Belmont’s student newspaper that she wanted to make enough money to have a little house with a small lake, a horse, and a little stream and be able to grow her own vegetables.
“If that is in Madison Square Garden, that’s really cool,” Corrina said. “And if it’s at the same little coffee shop with the same, like, little old people that come every Sunday, that’s totally fine. But I just want to be in the company of the people that I admire.”
